I first came into contact with Tuan Dat when I was looking for artists for phase 1 of H-Artistdom, an artist full of strength from his appearance to his paintings’ lines. Throughout more than his 15 years of artistic working experiences, he has yet chosen for himself very steady steps from his style, school to creative objects, painting audience and collectors from all over the world…

To talk about Dat’s paintings, I have only two really brief words to describe them, “MOTIVATION”. Contemplating Dat’s paintings will create an invisible attraction which helps us generate our own motivation, the motivation to continue living, the motivation to carry out a bigger goal in life or simply to love our beloved ones, the tiny objects around us more. Therefore, Tuan Dat is associated with the nickname Motivator – THE MOTIVATOR.

With very clear orientation since 10 years ago with Impressionism and Semi-Abstract, Tuan Dat has developed creative thinking along with his very own typical techniques. In his paintings, we often see a bright, joyful and vivacious colour which is full of life, love from thoughts, human to objects, creatures… or sometimes just a wind dancing on the quiet surface of the lake water at the homeland where he is living. And sometimes we encounter a strong resistance, full of emotions from within to a social issue; or sometimes we hear gentle sobs full of compassion about human affection in a really subtle and humane way.

Dat’s artworks contain a very plain language of fine art, simple but luxurious and very fair, full of clarity, an extremely positive source of energy. That’s the reason why many of his paintings are often collected by modern bussinessmen and hung right in their ofice buildings or at significant places such as large meeting rooms or main living rooms, places where core values as well as personalities of enterprises can be shown.

Within the last 2 years, after experiencing the global Covid pandemic, Tuan Dat’s lifeview as well as fine art path has developed even more strongly as he has gradually optimized his techniques as well as brought into play his creation to the maximum, associated with the philosophy of preserving traditional and untraditional values to create sustainable ones through expressive paintings, carrying many stories hidden deep inside each human being.

Tuan Dat is going on his own fine art path, but open and integrated into the contemporary art of the world in general and Vietnam in particular.
