We met each other in a sunny spring morning of the loving land of Saigon. Thanh Vu, a young man less than 30 years old but had a lot of experiences in life, creative reasoning and temperament of artistic talent.

Our chance meeting was from one of his posts sharing about the thorny road to fine art and living with it until the present time. It was the sharing of a very courageous person despite his really young age and truthful to the utmost possible.

I had an impression with Thanh Vu right from that moment and it was deeper when I saw his paintings, then a period after that, when I was allowed to send his artworks to curators all over the world for evaluation and appraisal. Thanh Vu’s paintings bring a lot of passionate emotions with loving affection for people and nature in a really natural, subtle and detailed way.

Thanh Vu’s paintings have a quite easily recognizable trait and more seriously speaking, he is extremely brave to choose the subject of grand landscape with surprisingly specific details. Most of Thanh Vu’s outstanding and highly appreciated artworks from curators of other countries are grand landscape works showing the sea or mountains and forests.

One thing that Thanh Vu’s paintings always gain high marks from viewers, is the moving technique along with the use of vibrant colours full of spontaneous, internally powerful ideas . It fully captures emotions of viewers at first sight with a sensation of energy coming over them, and if a little more subtlety is added, the viewers will feel something inundating their bodies and appearing most visibly right in front of their faces. That is THE ENERGY OF IDEAS – Energetic Mind.
